A nice little film that I regret that I have bought.. a little light and without any real interest!! bla bla bla.. bla bla! :-) I have a problem with the dvd. playback crashes at the beginning of the story, and I need to make a rapid advance to finally see the rest of the film. I assumed a problem with my player but I have the same effect as read on my PC. The support is nickel, without scratch. Having read the book and seen the movie I was forced to take the dvd. Received the parcel with almost two week ahead... very well amballer nothing wrong. The first half of the film, I am very pleased with it : I find the atmosphere of the book (with a few variations, but nothing shocking), even if Mrs. of Tourvelle typed asian surprise me a bit... As for the second part, it is great no matter what, I do not understand anything any more, no more relation with this book : I do not describe the end of course, but the changes chosen by the director disappoint me a lot. There is more humor, nor pettiness, nor contempt in this film. Mrs. Tourvelle is a complement to low-not to say ridiculous, she who had the faith and strength in her convictions... Like Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford is one of those few great actors of legend that have become even more great directors. In a film of Redford, all is beautiful: the story, the characters, the scenery, the music, the communion with nature and the moral. Typically the kind of film that puts a lot of balm to the heart and which one comes out a little better. "The Man who murmured to the Ear of a Horse" brings together all these qualities and produces the desired effect. It is a moving film, or even upsetting, in the themes that are touched and to be seduced by the beauty of the landscape, scenery and even music. Shot in Montana with great actors, the film is a comedy-drama that intertwines two love stories, one between a teenager and his horse, and the other between a business-woman, authoritarian, and a lone cowboy. The first is going to rebuild little by little after a tragic accident that claimed the life of his friend and where she has lost a leg. The latter will both challenge themselves contact one another. It is also an ode to vibrant to animals and Nature, which advocates a return to authentic values, far from the city as shallow and perverted. In short, a film that is eco-friendly in the best sense of the term. Sam Neill is, as usual, excellent in a supporting role in nuance and self-denial. The young Scarlett Johansson mixes brilliantly in a difficult role of a teenager, misunderstood, and bruised in his flesh. She began her distinguished career, aged just 14 years old but already full of charm and talent. The horse, as species of animal, is presented in all its finery and occupies a full place in the scenario. A film that I highly recommend to all lovers of nature and animals. All those who have liked if indigneront as much as me that we can still make the horse an animal for slaughter! ! The idea was good in order to reach a broader public, to transpose the play "Cyrano de Bergerac" at the cinema. The dialogues are rich and complex, we can only praise the performance of the actors, including Depardieu. It is recognized, however, that Cyrano has more charm on stage, and that the composition of Depardieu is a little outrageous.. The mayonnaise prepared we announced a movie pleasant to deal with such quality ingredients. Gold, this romantic comedy is flat and boring (not the film the most annoying thing in the world, but almost) : it's lack of suspense or twists and turns. We are witnessing the Saint Valentine's day of several couples, except that there are so many couples and of the stars that the whole is frankly rough and commonplace. The film is not bad, we all have a good time, but no more (I have absolutely no desire to see it a second time). With a casting if that is elitist, the film does not break bricks. It competes with smaller productions, but compared to the casting, it is limited to a scandal. The film is very milk soup. I was bored during the whole movie.... I was old enough to enjoy it on the big screen. Rex Harrison made a good Caesar; watch him have a similar attitude in "The Honey Pot" (1967). Enough time, thought, and money have been put into this production that I am bound to overlook a few of the most important items about this film. The movie is more than just the actors are. The characters are very well portrayed. The set and costumes are dazzling. They really showed up in the scene when Cleopatra enterd Rome. And the navel battle was spectacular. Every one is going to have a favorite Cleo and find flaws in the others. However this Cleo will always the one others are gauged by.. I love serious this film is a love story very moving. they are playing very well their role. Mac Adams is too beautiful!!!! I never tire of this film. I recommend it to see absolutely!!!!! Those like me who love this film will not be leave disappointed by this new edition! The bluray contains of course the director's cut version but only in VOST! with an audio version, non HD and for version VF, it will have to settle the mounting film on the DVD since there is no edition bluray..... frustrating and disappointingto spend a nice evening by leaving his brain aside, Gerard Butler is cute and Katherine Heigl funny, to see and, why not, to reviseA big congratulations to Christophe Gans for having the courage to tackle a myth of French cinema! He was able, with the assistance of François Baranger, create a magical world superb which will take you into the world of tales of our childhood. Vincent Cassel is necessary for an animality attractive, Dussolier is touching, and finally Léa Seydoux, magnified by the photo, is a Beautiful, sassy and strong. The rest of the cast offers a service quite good. Despite all these good points, we don't have to be a masterpiece, because of some weaknesses in the choice of staging. Still as everything is relative, because the giants, which had much embarrassed at the cinema, are much better "spent" in watching my Blu-ray. The Blu-ray, precisely, has a good quality of image and sound, which recreates the magic of this universe. However, the packaging is in the minimalism, a box of plastic and not of a booklet. In conclusion, I recommend this nice success with French for great family home evenings. The production hex is scanty in movies to costumes and grand spectacle, then encourage these initiatives to be courageous when they are successful.. As said in another comment, this is stupid, but the puree that it's good for this kind of movie! I laughed like a nerd from the beginning to the end, the scene at the restaurant is mémmorable ^^A touch of emotion still, just as it should be... Abominable to laugh for this movie ^^This film that I love, divinely played by G. DEPARDIEU has been slain by the quality execrable image.
